By Car
The journey to Castro Laboreiro is a scenic experience in itself.
- Coming from Porto/Braga (A3): Take the A3 towards Valença. Exit towards Monção/Melgaço (EN101). Upon reaching Melgaço, follow the signs for Castro Laboreiro. Prepare for a 25 km scenic drive up with breathtaking views over the valley.
- Coming from Spain: We are just a short distance from the Galician border (Entrimo/Lobeira), making access easy for those coming from the Spanish side of the Gerês-Xurés Transboundary Park.
From the Airport
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (Porto) is around 160 km away. We recommend hiring a car so you can explore the surrounding villages and trails with total freedom.
